IN SEARCH OF THE MIRACULOUS – I found P.D. Ouspensky’s book, “In Search of the Miraculous” when I was 17 years old. Through a strange series of events his writings led me to spend the next eight years in a Gurdjieff community. Since that time my search has taken me down many different pathways. Fifty three years later, the Gurdjieff Work is still the mainstay of my inner life. What follows is a video version of the first chapter of Ouspensky’s book. I am including it in this week’s videos to commemorate the anniversary of Gurdjieff’s death which took place on October 29th, 1949. Those of you who wonder about the pursuit of spiritual knowledge, and who want a glimpse into the teachings of a real master, will be inspired by it.
